Lesson 7D-02 Surah Luqman, 31:18-19
Surah Luqman, 31:18-19
Do not turn your cheek disdainfully from the people, and do not walk exultantly on the earth. Indeed Allah does not like any arrogant boaster. Be modest in your bearing, and lower your voice. Indeed the most hateful of voices is the donkey’s voice.
Good Manners and Behaviour
An important part of being a true Muslim is the attitude and behaviour one has towards other human beings. Islam encourages us to be humble, polite, and gentle to others. Our Ahlul Bayt (a) have showed us the best of behaviour, here are a few ways in which we can follow the advice of Luqman:
- Be the first to greet others with salam.
- Be kind to others even if they are mean to you.
- Be polite to each other especially your elders.
- Be humble and thankful to Allah for all the bounties he has given you.
