Module 7E-07 Halal and Haram songs

Imam Zayn al-Abidin (a) says in Risalat al-Huquq: ‘And the right of hearing is to keep it pure by not making it the direct pathway to your heart, except for noble words that establish some good in your heart or grant you a noble trait. Indeed, hearing is the gateway through which various concepts reach the heart – whether good or evil. And there is no power but in Allah.’

If we reflect on Imam’s words and think about the blessing of hearing, we may realise that it is a gift not given to all. Therefore, like all other blessings, we should use it for good.
