Good souls are able to erase any bad acts that they have committed by Allah’s blessing. This is because the soul has formed a virtuous characteristic by continuously doing good and avoiding evil. As a result, the small sins are washed away as the good and the evil cannot exist together in that realm of existence.

Evildoers cannot hold on to any good deeds that they may have done because of the corrupt nature of their souls. Since evil and goodness cannot co-exist, any goodness gets annihilated.

Take a plastic sheet and a cotton cloth, and spray them with water mixed with some washable food colouring or washable diluted paints using a syringe or spray bottle.

The plastic sheet represents an evil soul. Any good deed that it comes into contact with (the paint), it will reject it. Evildoers cannot hold on to any good deeds because of the corrupt nature of their souls. Hence, when some paint (good deeds) is thrown on the plastic sheet, it does not take it in.

The cotton cloth represents a good soul. Since this soul is used to doing good and avoiding evil, it has the capacity and can easily wash away the small sins. Any bad deed that it comes in contact with (the paint), it can be erased. So when some paint is thrown on the cotton, it is washed away completely.
